Most years, we’ll try to plant some spring vegetables such as lettuce, radish, and peas to enjoy. None of the vegetables I started out this year however, have survived so far due to various weather-related reasons. The worst was the flash flood we had on Memorial Day, which immersed our yard in at least 8 inches of water and washed away several of our vegetable planters. At least, we have the pictures from last year to remind us how deliciously fresh and tender home-grown lettuce is. 🙂
